About This Route
The Great North Run is the world's biggest half marathon: 60,000 runners streaming from Newcastle across the Tyne Bridge — Red Arrows overhead — through Gateshead and along the coast road to the seafront finish at South Shields. Since 1981 more than a million people have run it, and for many it's the race: a first big start line, a charity promise kept, a family tradition.
Our 3D printed terrain model traces the full 13.1-mile course over the landscape of Tyneside, from the city's bridges to the North Sea. Customise it with your name and finishing time, and it becomes a permanent version of the day the crowd carried you home.
Printed in the UK with free UK shipping — or upload your own GPX from race day to model your exact run.
