About This Route
The Yorkshire Marathon starts in the shadow of York Minster and rolls out through the city's medieval streets into the lanes and villages of the Vale of York — Stockton-on-the-Forest, Stamford Bridge, Murton — before the famous final rise of University Road and the finish at Heslington. Fast, friendly and flat by marathon standards, it has become one of the UK's favourite autumn 26.2s.
Our 3D printed terrain model lays the whole route across the Vale in relief, customised with your name and time. For many Yorkshire runners this is the home marathon — and this is the way to keep it.
